VANCOUVER TO HALIFAX SEPTEMBER 15 - 28 2013

The Trans Canada Trail is the world’s longest network of trails. When completed, the trail will stretch over 23,000 kilometers from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic Oceans, linking communities and all Canadians. Today, more than 16,800 kilometers of the trail have been developed. Millions of Canadians and international visitors are using the trial to hike, cycle, ski, horseback ride, canoe and snowmobile. The Trans Canada Trail offers countless opportunities to explore Canada’s diverse landscapes and rich history. PGA International with Tour Trans Canada will initiate a cycling expedition from Vancouver, BC to St. John’s, Newfoundland, a distance of about 7500km (4630 miles) for Joachim's world record breaking attempt.

Multiple Guinness World Record holder, film actor and producer Suresh Joachim has broken over 60 world records. He has captured the public's attention by breaking world records in many categories. He currently holds more than 20 records, including The World Fastest Movie from script to screening in 11 days, 23 hours and 45 minutes.

The multi-talented Joachim has been breaking endurance based world records since 1996. His first world record was 1,000 consecutive hours of running. After which, he drummed continuously for 84 hours, ran on a treadmill for 168 hours to cover 659.27 km, bowled for 168hrs, carried a 4.5 kg brick in a nominated ungloved hand in an un-cradled downward position for 126.675 km, crawled non-stop for 56.62 km, dribbled a basketball for 156.71 km in 24 hours, ran 100 km on a treadmill in just over 7 hours, danced continuously for 100 hours, moon-walked for 24 hours, performed in a non-stop musical for 42 hours, rocked on a rocking chair for 75 hours, watched TV for 69 hours on the Regis & Kelly show and DJ’d a radio show for 120 hours!
